‘Sister’ is the musical counterpart to ‘Brother’, with both songs using powerful, infectious melodies to disguise deeply anguished, heart-rending lyrics. The latest single further explores the themes of loneliness and vulnerability present in ‘Brother’ but this time it all appears self inflicted, with the lead voice in the song refusing to move on from a past relationship. Launching straight into the hook, the song opens with real intent, alternating between catchy pop choruses and atmospheric verses which build towards a huge, anthemic sing along section at the end.

Speaking about the track, frontman Olly Corpe explains:

“‘Sister’ is about turning a blind eye to the truth. At first it’s easy to ignore but over time it consumes more and more of your thoughts until you’re forced to face it. The only way is to keep pretending and bury it deep within your heart.’
