‘Is It Me?’ has The King’s Parade returning to their soulful roots, with the infectious and uplifting chorus hook belying the melancholic and introspective lyrics. Frontman Olly Corpe examines his own culpability in the collapse of a previous relationship, effortlessly switching vocal gears as he oscillates between mellow, crooning vocals and explosive chorus hooks.

Speaking about the track he explains that:

“When things between you and a person you love fall apart, it’s hard not to look in the mirror and search for answers. You play back all the moments you had together in your mind, reading into every word you said and everything you did. When your search comes to a dead end, you can only look forward and hope for better days to come.”
